Fighter Jet Ride

Anyone here know of where to ride a fighter jet. I thought I remember somewhere in Seattle, someone owns a fighter jet. You basically buy the fuel and he'll take you up for about an hour.
Im not sure if that is fact or something someone told me off the cuff. I cant find it anywhere on the net except for a MiG-29 ride in Russia.

The New Mexico outfit is in Santa Fe, and that is a great place to visit before and after your ride. The company is Jetwarbird, and their website is:
http://www.jetwarbird.com They have L29s, L39s, Fouga Magisters, and a Mig 15. If you go, you have to post pictures and stories here!

Wish...
....I knew how to post a picture of my son(private/instrument rating) at an airshow in Tennessee last August. He flew 5 hours as my copilot on a DC-3 and then flew :40 min in an L-39. All within 24 hours. The jet trainer time was compliments of a retired FedEX/Navy pilot. Paid for fuel only in the L-39. He got a nice ride...some aerobatics and a few minutes of stick time. DC-3 to jet trainer within 24 hours. $450.00 for the L-39 time. DC-3 time free. Luck guy.

My "lucky" nephew got a free F-16 ride a couple months ago. He is a freshman at MIT and in their Air Force ROTC program. This was an enticement ride I guess?? It probably doesn't hurt that his dad is a full bird colonel either?).

...remember, life is uncertain, eat desert first!
... and, those that pound their guns into plows, will plow for those who don't.
Years ago when I was being recruited by the services (good GPA and an Eagle Scout) I got a backseat ride in an F4 out of the McChord AFB. The most interesting thing was the air to air refueling. The probe off the tanker (it's bigger than you think) comes in about 2-3 feet above your head in the back seat and plugs in a few feet behind the cockpit. Most un-natural thing I have ever seen / experienced in the air. I have a Beta Video Cassette of the ride, I should figure a way to convert it to a digital file sometime.

Sooner is better on that front. Digital video already far exceeds that generation of technology in terms of fidelity and it's only going to get harder to find beta machines from which to do the conversion as the years go by.

I don't think the F4 would go very far without a fill up, but you were pretty lucky to get the view overhead. What branch did you sign up for?

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.
