Took my daughter up today finally in a 172SP. She did really well for her first time. I think she got a little bored actually after about 20 mins. Next time up will be in my Avid!

Well, sheesh, no wonder she got bored--you put her in the back seat! Next time, put her up front and let her do the driving. Believe me, even little tykes like her get a kick out of doing that, and most of them do a pretty good job--surprisingly well most of the time.

I was just showing granddaughter Lily your video. Lily turned 5 last November, and I took her up on her birthday as my present for her. From the time we reached pattern altitude until we returned to the pattern, she did all, and I mean all, of the flying. We flew from GXY over to Fort Collins, circled over our house in FtC, then flew over Windsor and circled over her house, and then back to GXY--total about 45 minutes.

I talked her into the turns and out of them again (she tended to keep the yoke turned as we banked), and I cheated and maintained the trim to maintain altitude. But otherwise, she did all the maneuvers. Her daddy was in the back seat--he got a little queasy with her maneuvers, but she had a blast.

Good for! I'm confused though how you have a daughter that old and she is just barely getting a ride. Especially when you own a plane!

Right on Joey, looks like she is ready for Johnson Creek next month!

Not all Mommies put up with airplanes as well as others. My wife is very supportive of my flying but when it comes to her babies that's another deal. This first one was the trial and it went well. It only gets better from here.
