fllight medical doctor

The doctor I have used for the last several cycles of flight medicals no longer does them so now I need to find another.
Does anyone know of a doctor/clinic or whatever in Juneau, or elsewhere in southEast Alaska. Failing that how about Fairbanks or Anchorage?

Thanks

The new guy in Juneau took over Doc Belflowers outfit, even the hangar. I don't know his name, but I can find out.

There is one in Sitka and one in Wrangell also.

If you end up in Anchorage, try Aviation Medical Services of Alaska, Robert Thomas M.D. Right between LHD and ANC. If you can't walk there from either place, you probably wouldn't pass anyway!

Wow, I think you are right, new record.

It is a good recommendation though, as that office is completely built around medicals for aviation and CDL, so they are geared up for dealing with the details.

Re: fllight medical doctor

GB flyer, if you could find the name and/or phone number I would sure appreciate it.

I had planned to use the clinic in Anchorage, had it all figured out to drive up, do the exam, go moose hunting, load up at cosco and drive home. Big problem, I expire in June, I thought I was good till Sept.

They say memory is one of the first things to go in old age and I can't remember what the other things are.

Shane:

It's this guy. ^^^^

He's right on the airport in the hangars in front of Ward Air (towards the runway). It's the one with the cub sign on the walk in door.

Expired Medical? What the hell is that? The airplane doesn't know the difference. :D

Re: fllight medical doctor

Again, that ame locator link will find an AME in ANY part of the country or the world. Found one in Singapore for a student once...... And, it provides contact information and address for each AME.

I used several of the links for AME locators but they were not up to date or even close to it. One of them listed the local doc who has not done them for at least seven years. They are a good tool but not very current.

Interesting. I've used that locator for all the local docs and a significant number of student referrals and never found an out of date listing. I know one doc who retired last fall, and his name is off the list now.....

Oh, well, nothing is perfect, especially if it says FAA on it.
