It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Re: Flying Cowboys Slow and Low to Oshkosh

You guys were great in the STOL demo at the ultralight field on Tuesday!
Having Dennis Smith of STOL magazine in the back of Kevin's plane seemed to help :-k . Strange but true...
Great meeting you, Kevin, and putting faces with names.

Already checking out the flight deals from Australia for next year and I'm not even home yet. :)

Re: Flying Cowboys Slow and Low to Oshkosh

I'm embarrassed to admit I flew a Maule to KOSH and never landed on dirt or grass along the way. I was heavily loaded and wasn't comfortable with any meaningful backcountry forays. That will be left for the rest of the summer with lighter loads in my plane. I did pee in the dirt on the edge of the asphalt once or twice...

Re: Flying Cowboys Slow and Low to Oshkosh

Everyone is back home with over 50 plus hours flown, 4000 miles in 14 days, loads of fun and a lot on new landings and great friends. That pretty much sums up this years Oshkosh trip.

Here's a few photos that stand out.
