Many times I get people asking me about flying in Costa Rica.
I have flown all around Central America, California, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Montana Michigan, Florida and Washington state.
Of all those places, the prettiest ones were Costa Rica and WA state, so if anyone is thinking about a trip here , I highly recommend it.
Also the airport in Tamarindo beach its repaved and in great shape, combined with a stay at Tamarindo Diria might save you on parking fees.

I have visited Costa Rica and I'm sure I'll go again. But so far always via airliner.

I could consider going in a group of like-performing GA airplanes someday. But I'm curious: what route do you take to get between Costa Rica and the US? How easy is that trip, from a logistics and customs/immigration perspective? How important is it to speak Spanish?

I remember reading Rezrider's blog a few years back about flying a Maule M5 south... definitely sounds like fun.
