I don't know if this is Mud Strip or not, but when I read peoples stories I like to look the places I haven't heard of on Google Earth... Well if you look at 61° 18.681'N / 148° 28.933'W on 9/10/11 there was actually a plane there! IDK I just thought this was cool.

Interesting.
Then what are the two strips called due west of there, where the river empties out of inner Lake George? That’s where I always land. They seem more consistent than the Mud Strip.

And a couple from a little ride in November. I love my Sedan and anyone who disregards them because of the absence of flaps is really missing out.

I have never flown one but I have a good friend, who has owned pretty much everything that we talk about on this site, who says it was his favourite. He had his on wheels and floats. I think they look great, Im a sucker for the round tail.

This is a photo of my back yard. What’s really cool is Burl’s shop is located just beyond the waters edge, about a 30 minute drive or a 3 minute flight. [emoji1303]

Beautiful looking plane, congratulations. was neat seeing the picture of Castaic. In an earlier life I guided there, and Casitas, and Cachuma, and Lopez, and San Antonio.

Nice trip report. And she looks even better on big tires.

Thanks. Will probably be even bigger tires soon. And a longer prop. And VGs. :D

My wife had a hiking accident back on Memorial day which put a big damper on the summer flying. 3 plates and 20 screws in her ankle, 16 weeks no weight bearing. I've got a bunch of places I want to take her this year, plus they've already shut down King Salmon fishing in this area so it sounds like I'll HAVE to fly over to the west side of the Inlet for some fishing. Couple that with some other fun flying with friends and moose season it's going to be a big year of Sedan driving in 2019!
