Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

FS Cessna nose wheel towbars

I'm doin a little reorganizing in my hangar and gettin rid of some stuff. I have a couple nose wheel tow bars if anyone is interested. I don't want anything for them, I feel they must have some value. One is new, the other is in good shape.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Mornin Cory It is pretty simple. red., no brand name on it. 40"s long, telescopic, T handle, attaching end has 5/6" I.D. cups to attach to bolt on nose gear under spring tension. The spread range is approx 4.25- 6"

Thanks Gary. Ok, I've got a couple of those. I was offered a really long one with my first plane that was made to go to a hitch of a truck. I didn't think it would fit so I passed on it. Wish I had tried harder. There have been times it would have been handy!

Take care,
Cory

I bought my long one, which has a 2" ball hitch coupler, on eBay, the only thing I've ever bought there. I think it was $230, but that was 13 years ago, so I could be mis-remembering. It has indeed been handy. With a ball on the front of the vehicle, I can easily put the airplane in a hangar, which is how I hangared the airplane until I bought my electric tug. Several times I've pulled the airplane to the gas pumps rather than start it and drive it over, when I wanted it refueled but wasn't going any place afterwards. One of the nice things about mine is that the guy who made it put the crossbars on it farther forward, so that when it's unhooked from the vehicle, it doesn't rest on the nose gear fairing.

I've got a collapsible tailwheel towbar, the handle slides in for stowing & out for use. I replaced that t-handled piece with a longer piece of EMT conduit with a big washer welded on the end, to hook to the bumper of my pickup for towing the airplane. It'd be pretty simple to weld on an actual hitch instead.
