But are there any advantages using this over foreflight ?
I’m not a big fan of the smaller screened gps like this and the 430
650 and newer yes but O have a hard time reading the graphics on these old units and would like to sell it.

I like having a GPS in the plane to draw a quick magenta line or get frequencies without having an ipad out with all its extras. In my mind and use they serve two different roles. I loved having a 496 panel mounted in my 180. Bought the plane thinking I'd throw it out but I used it every flight outside of my immediate area. Reduced the times you need to pull out an ipad by a ton. That being said, it is a dated unit for sure.
I fly a plane with a 796 for work and instruct in one with a 660. If I buy another plane and go the vfr GPS route, I'd go 660. It's very impressive and I like the smaller form factor while maintaining a large screen. Terrain, VFR charts, airport information, you name it, it has it. Also only $750..
