Re: Hangar Help

The RV in the hangar thing is a great setup, other than a dedicated attached apartment of course. A win/win, get's the RV out of the weather, homifies (?) the hangar.

One floor cleaning tool I've used for years is a 4' wide dust mop, like commercial janitors use, its combined with a recessed floor grate (too late now....) right at the entry door, that lets you run the accumulated grit right into the grate. The catch basin beneath the grate is deep enough to only need cleaning once a year or so. BUT, if you have a lot of women wearing high heels wanting in the hangar, it will unfortunately act like a cattle guard. In snow country, it's super handy, most people who first see them (my shop, hangar, home mud room all have them) immediately say "that's a great idea" not realizing they are being punny. Other than that, I have a commercial grade mop bucket on wheels, but I have also eyeballed those commercial floor scrubbers, that would be the ultimate.

Re: Hangar Help

Thanks for all the complements on the hangar. I will tell you that my biggest regret was not installing a floor drain pit where I park my truck inside. If you live where it snows or off of a dirt road which I have both issues ITS A MUST in my opinion. If I didn't have radiant floor heating throughout, Id pay the big bucks and hire someone to bust out concrete and put it in. Big, big mistake not adding that. Its a hell of a mess with or without mats. Here's the best walk behind floor scrubber under $4K new I could find. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIbOFYqQasc
