Of course, we know now that what came out of the house went to the Senate, which stripped the privatization provisions. Now it'll be interesting to see how "powerful" Shuster is as he tries to restore privatization.

Other than that his girlfriend, Shelley Rubino, is VP of Airlines For America, an airline industry lobbying group, it's hard to see why he even cares. Of course, he claims that she isn't allowed to influence him--yeah, right! Anyone want to buy the bridge that I have for sale? In any event, he's not a pilot, and his background is as a car dealer in Pennsylvania and some stints in management positions with Goodyear and Bandag. All that courtesy of Wikipedia.

Is there anything we can do to again contact our Congressional representatives, and if so what am I supposed to say ?

I wrote my reps re the Class III. I am not quite sure about what to say re the FAA reform.

Is there a link or resource I can check which may have some scripted responses I can use ?

I'm an AOPA/EAA member. I'll check with them as well. Just curious.

I was in DC last week and met with Senator Inhofe (Principal Author) on a couple of issues including PBR-2. I always enjoy meeting with him and his comments give me significant hope that it will ultimately be approved. That said we will see some challenges as Congress works through a short agenda going into the summer/election recess and then the follow up lame duck session in the fall.
