Re: Hideous Paint Jobs

That's proof that an airplane really does want to fly.

Man, the way the picture was taken above, I swore there was no engine on that plane. I kept thinking the blue part was a plane parked next to this plane. Did a Google search on the tail number and found a few more pics. Here's another showing the engine.

They should have left it like this:

Re: Hideous Paint Jobs

My turbine 206 needs paint bad. Currently 70s earth tones, bare metal and primer. I have my tool truck and other 2 206s in the 80s Pilgrim paint White with Green, Orange, Yellow stripe on the back half that my Twin Otter was in. That Twin Otter was sold and no longer in that scheme. I only know of a Comanche that is still in those colors (was Joe Fugeres personal airplane). The nose of the aircraft calls for teeth but I think that has been over done. The aircraft is to be a climber for skydivers and not a FAST flame x-country machine. This was to be the demonstration aircraft but I dont know if I am going to be doing sales of this kit in the future. A unique paint job is not out of the question and hopefully many people will go for short rides and photos will be taken of the plane on there way to jumping out. That group would appreciate a theme aircraft. Cost is always an issue but cool ideas seem to get the effort. White with large graphic wraps? I dont want to end up in the Hideous paint jobs photo album.
