The "Iron Maiden" plane is actually flown by the lead singer, who flies for a British airline in 737's. It was used on their (2007/2008 ?) world tour. He became a pilot after his drummer learned to fly. Figured "if a drummer can do it, why can't I ...".

Well heck yeah! If the theory of evolution were true, it would look like this.

The flowered DC-3 is actually a decal job. The owner had it done up with art done by kiddos at a children's cancer center and then flew it low and slow around the place for them to see. It's actually the same DC-3 featured in an AOPA article a few years ago about getting a type certificate in the Gooney Bird.
http://www.thedc-3network.com/ I did my CFI renewal with a gentleman named Charlie who was left seat when a gear linkage gave way and it did a nice little ground loop and had to be repaired during the time of the story.

I don't think you can make a round engine airplane ugly.
