My fingers are crossed, it looks like I will get out of Oregon Thursday.

Even better, after HSF I get to continue south to Palm Desert for 10 days.

The wx here in NW Oregon has been so so the last few days. 5-6 inches of rain and windy. But on a lighter side, the temps have been mild and we are all greened up again.

Who else from Oregon is going. Shaun I am thinking of wheels up at 1PM Thursday. I have an appointment from 10-11.

Currently working on a purchase on a new to us plane that will take most of this week to complete.

I don't have much experience with dry lakes that get wet. If Dead Cow were to get say a 1/2" today, then no more. Will it be good Thursday??

Yea Rob, that was a good one but it quieted again.A little for tomorrow but the playa will still be good to go.It actually hasn't seen much and can take quite a bit , especially on the west side. A lot of ground travel soon to set up the event so there will be posts on that as well.

It sucks being self employed, and not being able to bullshit the boss, but I have a perfect storm of crane work with a lot of people depending on me ( all non pilots). Near as I can tell, I could launch out of here Sunday at the earliest, spend 5 minutes there, then start heading back immediately......Im a victim of my own success, you guys have a good one and fly safe. Wahhhhh (cry baby sounds)

Looks great so far. I've repo'd my plane to Vegas and can launch in the morning Friday.
