Hey all, I've been lurking and posting a bit once in awhile. I live in Denver Colorado, and heading back to Homer to get married soon. I'll be up there from sept 1st to sept 18th and would love to get in the air. I lived up there for a few years and my fiancé and I are planning on moving back in fall of 2019. I'm a student for my PPL now, (very close to soloing) but I haven't flown down at sealevel in a long time, let along in a taildragger, or anything with big tires. I would love to show my fiancé what I really want to do. Also haven't had much time in the air and weddings are cheap, so the itch to fly is getting unbearable!
Anyone in the area up there? Id love to at least meet up for a beer and talk airplanes while i'm in the area.

Look up Headoutdaplane in the member list. Wes is out of Homer, runs a small 135 outfit with a green Beaver on floats. You could send him a PM.

I'll be back in kodiak around the 4th of sept, if the weather is decent I'll drop into homer and have a beer with you (I'm always looking for an excuse to go somewhere). Can't really go flying though, I don't have a back seat in my plane and I'll have my gf with me. Lol and it all depends on the weather, normally it's nice when I have to work and when the weekend comes around it goes to shit

Every Thursday at Beluga Lake Lodge Bar is "Pilot's Night" starts around 6:30 or so. 135 pilots, Private Pilots, floats and wheels all represented usually. All the stories are true..

The winner is the person with the most stories when he dies, not the most gold.
