Re: Hood River, OR, Sept 7,8,9

Just a great time. Margs, beers, and cocktails were enjoyed. The wx was great 80s and 50s no wind at night and 10mph in the day. Went out early today with Little John and I hit Pine Hollow, Wapinita, Bull Run, and Chukar Flats.

The BCP guys who I visited with were. TomD, Terry, straightail, Graham, RanchAero, Kenny Chapman, DCO-65.

Small world. I talked to a guy who knows one of our BCP contributors. Seems his plane had a dead battery so he hand propped it. Well it got away and went through 2 barbwire fences and totaled it. DOH!

Made it home safe. Winds started blowing Sat. night, right after Rob left dinner! 15 - 30 mph all night - in a tent :!: Wind was still howling Sun. a.m., 270 planes was the count =D> Plan to go back next year. Pictures to follow.
