Yeah I check Flying b whenever I check JC and Smiley creek. Still snow on the 5200 foot peak at Flying B. but clear up to that elevation. Smiley is still loaded with snow which you would expect at 7000 feet. Hope the runway there can survive all the snow machine races which seem to take place on the runway.

I flew over the two area two weeks ago. Shearer is open. There may still be some water in the middle fo the runway, but that will go quickly. Moose creek, however, still had a good 1' - 1.5' of snow on both runways. Tighter canyon, with tall trees doesn't allow for much sun.
It has been too cloudy and snowy to get back over there since then. Hope to get out that way Thursday.
There is still a LOT of snow up high.

At this point summer conditions is a long shot. Leaving in two weeks for Alaska. Trying to find a set of floats on the west coast and continuing the trip to Ketchikan from their. Plan B is to depart from the ice here in Maine on my edo 2960's and hope that the lakes I will be landing on are either ice free or rock hard. Calling canadian seaplane bases for fuel and conditions now, but any input from the northern states or Canadians on our site would be a huge help. Should be a great trip and I will follow it up with a trip report.

This has been a great year for snowpack in the mountains. Many ranges are over 100% of average.

I'd think come June, Johnson Creek is going to be running really big.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
HI menendez777, Here in the middle of the lower peninsula of Michigan (44 degrees north) the ice is just starting to melt around the edges of the lakes out about a foot from shore so far. If we get warm rains should be clear in 2 weeks, if no rain might not.
