How many in Idaho with skis?
Two of the best inventions ever, skis and airplanes, together.

Planning some get togethers with friends this winter at Smiley Creek and was wondering how many others might show if we organized and advertised?

What is the typical ski season calendar period for Smiley Creek? Just asking.

Keep me posted, I'm up for that. There's a CC pilot over in Driggs I may be able to get also.

I read once that skis are an option for 205/206s, etc. Anyone have any pictures and, better yet, info on the setup, STC, etc?

Jomac, I was wondering the same. I have seen 206s on skis, and wondered if anyone has ever done them on a 182.

Ya there are skis for 182s, they perform quite well too,but the weak nose gear fire wall arrangement of the 182 makes the 206 a much better ski plane.

I would be up for a ski trip to Idaho. Smiley Creek isn't that far from Bend and would be a nice flight over.

yup on the nose gear, but i have put it thru heck so far with no issues....hard to believe skis would be harder on it...!? wheel/skis look like the hot set-up to me for sure, as i put my airplane from boise class C to mccall to idaho falls and everywhere in between...!
