I flew the new NXCub

Don't knock it until you try it. It was truly awesome. I have no skin in this game, only positive things to say. Hard breaking, you can land it hands free, turns on a dime, it was just awesome, no joke. The nose wheel can easily change back to the tail, it's 215hp, what's not to like. It takes off and lands shorter than a XCub or for that matter most cubs. Both Cory and I are 200 plus lbs., and the ranks were topped off. We still had 200' landings and climb outs holding 80mph and 2000' a minute.

This aircraft is purely for a market survey yet they have already sold almost 20 in the first week. They are putting a smaller 3 blade prop to allow better clearance yet at full breaks and full forward shock absorption it's still 6" off the ground. The aircraft does a 145 in cruise. Everyone should look at it up close. I seriously loved it!

If it looks smooth, it might be. If it looks rough, it is...www.bigtirepilot.com ...www.alaskaheliski.com

Cool! Looks like a blast to fly!

What does it burn at that 145mph cruise?

There's a place for nearly every type of plane in the marketplace.
Kind of reminds me of the Tri-Champ. (Tri-Traveller)

Re: I flew the new NXCub

My dear friend and flying mentor as kid, had this stapled to the wall of his hanger. I remember it clear as day and asking him the meaning behind it when I was 11. That was 24 years ago! Cubcrafters isn’t the first to go down this path. It worked for Maule, it’l probably work for them. Cubcrafters seams like a pretty top notch outfit with great marketing and great products. I get excited everytime I see people introducing new GA airplanes, even if it’s not my style.
