I've done some tweaking. In your photo album hosted here on BCP, I've added a little button that will automatically copy the BBcode required to post the image in a forum post.

1. Open your photo album where you've uploaded some photos.
2. Click the little dark grey "link" icon below the thumbnail
3. Return to the forum post and paste (CTRL+V or CMD+V) or right mouse click > paste.

Will take a little work to make it work on mobile due to the formatting but it should save some time for some folks.

It works better if you use 2 browser tabs, one with your post editor and one with your photo gallery opened.

Really happy to see this feature. Makes sharing photos in posts much easier.
I noticed that if I mouse over the link; when I mouseout from the icon, it disappears from the screen. Using Chrome at least.

Yeah I spent way too long trying to fix that today.

Re: Image posting by reference made slightly easier

Just a reminder for those using our photo gallery here: One click on the black button with the "link" icon under gallery thumbnails copies the whole shebang onto the clipboard, BBcode and all. Just paste and you're done.

JUst used this feature-- works great and way easier than the old rigamarole.
Thanks Zane.

Re: Image posting by reference made slightly easier

Bump for this method. I still see photo URLs being using with "originalphotos" whereas the new method uses the smaller, rotated version.

It's not ideal, especially for mobile, but it's faster and easier than before.

Thank you Z.

And nice--great--picture of the N face of Mt Huntington CW. I've been on the W fork of the Ruth Glacier a few times. Tried Huntington once from that side--it's an awe inspiring place!
