The mini has a slightly larger screen than the 7" tablets and the 796, 7.9". The exterior size of the 796 is larger, 8"x5" and 1 1/2" thick, vs. 7.87"x5.3" and slightly more than 1/4" thick for the mini, and the weight is more than twice for the 796, 1 1/2 lbs. compared to less than 3/4 lb. for the mini. Retail for the 796 is $2500; for the mini it's $660 in its most expensive version.The 796 is 7", the same as the new iPad Mini as well as several Android tablets.
