Instrument Overhaul

I'm probably going to have a couple instruments overhauled, an ASI and an attitude indicator. Any recommendations on a shop? I see the mentions of Rudy and Airtech Instruments in the post on non-TSO'd instruments. Who have you used and how happy have you been with what you've received back?

Thanks.

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Re: Instrument Overhaul

Only have had one instrument OH'd, a DG, way back when by Rudy. Quick, reasonable price, & it worked correctly. Per their TAP ad, $335 for your horizon & $125 for your ASI. I checked the flyaqi link and their prices were about the same, maybe a whisker higher. Century also advertises in TAP with similar prices.

I've quite a few instruments to Keyston Instruments

Great people, really friendly, nice prices.
If you tell them your plane is grounded for the instrument, they go the extra mile to get it back to you quicker.

Re: Instrument Overhaul

Have you checked w/ the manufacturer about an exchange for overhaul or new? Did that for an Attitude Indicator and the exchange made far more sense than a shop overhaul.

Did the purchase through an Oregon dealer and saved a couple more bucks.
