Introduction of a BCP Newbie

Greetings, I've been a follower of BCP for some time now and I figured I'd introduce myself.

My name is Chris and I live in Tehachapi, CA. I've been flying since a young age, starting with flying right seat in my grandfather's Howard DGA when I couldn't even see out the windows. I got my Sport Pilot ticket in 2009 with out ever logging nose drager time. I've been very fortunate in that I used to work at CubCrafters and I've been able to fly some neat hardware. My SPL time is almost all in either a Husky or a Sport cub, both awesome airplanes!

I bought a Bowers Flybaby a few years ago and have been building time in it since. Last summer I finished my PPL and bought a Tri-Pacer last month. I'm excited to post a few recent trip reports we've taken in our flying milk stool. I've been very impressed with the much underrated Tri-Pacer; it's a great airplane.

Anyway, I'm excited to be a part of this community and I figured I'd start contributing not just consuming.

Ahead of time, thanks to all for great support and a great community.

-Chris

Welcome Chris. You have bought a very capable mountain airplane. I owned a 135 hp , two 150 hp, and a Colt. Click below, read, and go fly with Black Water if you get a chance.

Chris

Welcome to the group. A friend of mine at KSZP built a Howard a few years ago. Maybe you know him?

You're never too old to learn something stupid.

I think Troy Hamon runs around in a tri-pacer as well, really likes it, and has some great photos from around King Salmon.

Did you buy the Tri-Pacer from an older guy, Chuck, who was selling one in Mojave?

I bought it from a co worker based out of Mojave.

Thanks...my airplane is definitely a 50 footer...closer than that it starts looking a bit tired...but it sure flies super...
