Glad to hear you re back in the air. Didn't want to post my similar experience earlier as to 'load on the negativity'. I had a similar episode a few years back. Bought a floatplane to get my seaplane rating. Had a couple of hours of training and then it hit!!! Yep, kidney stone right at the beginning of summer and float flying season. I had to stop all flying until I was 'cleared for duty' and by then summer was nearly over.

I restarted my training in late September and got my SES endorsement/sign-off just in time to see the ice form on the lakes.

Yeah, I got pretty lucky. Could have taken a lot longer to sort out.
Just got done hanging the new windsock at the farm. Hopefully I'll get to land here for the first time this week.
