Kitfox pilot gets lucky

TFRs are bs and we all know it.In the Boston/New England area we have had more than our share of them.
The ONLY way to be sure you won't get busted is to call before flying.I think most feel it is an infringement on our freedoms to have to call.I agree with you. That being said I have found it takes about the same amount of time to check for TFRs as it would be to order take-out food.
My buddy that owns the Private strip we fly out of lost his CFI because one of the based airplanes flew during a presidential TFR and he wouldn't tell the feds who it was.The grilled him for months over it.
Oh and a word of advice DO NOT go by the published times online. We recently had one that went beyond the time it was supposed to expire. You must call and verify it has indeed expired.

Then he talked about an ad that came out the night before for the 210, which he discovered because someone emailed him about it. At the end of the sidetrack, he basically said that in his opinion, you never know for sure if you are legal, because you can be held accountable for crap that the feds haven't even published......
