Knowing what ya got
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
Has anyone in the community know if there's a reasonable accurate fuel gauging system that emulates the wing root indicator of a 170

Do a Google search for Rochester fuel gauge and see what they have that matches what you need.

Gravity Strikes Again.
Will do, thanks
Just took a peek; they look perfect, exactly what I had envisioned.

Been using a JPI 450 for quite a few years once it's calibrated right it's very accurate.

I second the JPI 450. Have had them in multiple aircraft that I used for short, heavy flights. I would add 10 or 20 gallons at a time to the tanks and to the JPI’s totalizer. When I would top off the tanks, the totalizer was always very close, even after 10 or more smaller additions. Considering it also shows fuel flow as well as total, I find it much more useful than gauges. I currently have an EI MVP-50 that shows level, flow and total but I’ve only got 3 hours on it and so don’t have a valid review yet.

I'll jump on the JPI 450 bandwagon. Had it in my Tripacer for about ten years now. Usually within a half gallon of what it says I've burned and what I've had put in. Thats with an O-320 leaned to 9.5 gals an hour. I have never seen larger than a one gallon discrepancy in all of the time that I have used it, and that was just recently when I ran a 10.5 gph so that I made a little better ground speed.

I have an EI fuel computer that works well for my needs. I'm like to find a quantity indicator that's a bit more accurate, stable and positioned in the same wing root location
