KOSH from the east

This'll be my first trip to KOSH, flying in myself in the 172 from NH.
Have the week off, but not sure how many days I'll spend in Oshkosh.
Any suggestions on what else to see in the area? Any other cool places to fly to?

Suggestions on airports that won't mind me camping on the way there and back?

New Holstein Super Cub fly in. Getting out and back into Oshkosh is a pain in the butt. Plenty to do at Oshkosh BTW.

Cheers...Rob

Swing a little to the south and stop at the Airforce Museum in Dayton. Open ever day 9 to5 and FREE. If you walk as fast as you can and don't stop to read anything you will be hard pressed to see everything in one day. Go into a place like Greene County to the southeast.

Yeah, I have plenty of time to get there and back, and have been told multiple times that I'll never be able to see everything at OSH. I just imagine I'll get sick of the food and crowds before the week is up.

Thanks for the tips. Looking forward to this.
