Yeah, we've all become spoiled with the doodads we can strap into our airplanes. How'd we ever function without an iPad, or GPS, or Foreflight (or some other EFB)? But we did. I guess I flew 30 some years before I bought an aviation-grade handheld GPS and another 8 or 9 years before having one installed in the panel. Converting to FF from paper was semi-traumatic, but since doing it, I can't imagine going back. So all we need is for the gummit to shut down those things we rely on, and we're lost, lost, lost! Well, not really, but it does seem a lot like it.

That's ok though. She is still quite open to tent camping and if it involves toting around a few more pounds, that's ok with me. Speaking of which, seeing how Cary shoehorns all that gear into his 172 is quite a site.
