Larger tires on my 182S —order the kit?

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Glad it helped. Bogert Aviation makes some great stuff and they're terrific folks to deal with.

Re: Larger tires on my 182S —order the kit?

I am hoping to have the 182 back in the air this weekend.

Some great info here on the forum. I'll probably do a write up on all the mods.

Thanks,
D.

Also, we always “installed” a short piece of heavy split hose on the nose strut, held in place with hose clamps. In the event of a flat nose strut, it prevents metal to metal, which is not good. And in some rough stuff, if pressure is kinda low, you can bottom out the strut.

Provides a wee bit of cushion, and can’t hurt.

This works good and I run this on a lot of customer A/C as well. But on some of the 182s that have the cut down strut and big fork, there is not enough strut showing to put much of anything on there.
