LED wing lights for Cessna Horton leading edge
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Does anyone know a source for wingtips with landing lights for installation on a 182 with the Horton STOL kit?
Neither the Sene Quasar CX or Knots2u RD-9000 have tips that can be used on the Horton cuff without some creative ingenuity.
Thanks!

Just looking at the knots-2-u tips on their website, on the options page it asks to specify either sportsman or Horton kit. Might be worth a call to those guys and see what’s involved with installing on a Horton.
It was common years ago to end whatever cuff one was installing about an inch short of the end of the wing and fabricate a little blank off plate. You would then just keep your original wingtips.

Thanks for the reply
Yeah, last week I saw the blurb to indicate if it was a Horton cuff, so I tried ordering a set. Today they emailed me and said it’s not available.
I’ve seen a couple of those mismatched leading edge installations. I was hoping for a more plug-n play solution.

I run the Quasar tips on my 180 with Horton cuff. However I changed the tips back to stock. Horton officially does not change the aircrafts speeds. Has not been an issue for 5 years.

That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!
Where did you get that little fairing at the end of the cuff?

Thats what I was talking about in my post, we would just fabricate a little sheet metal end to the cuff and then install the stock profile tips.

i learned this the hard way. once it was torn apart at Beegles and we realized it wasnt a fit (Wing X might also be to blame) we sent them back to Sene and they modified them to the correct dimensions, WA LA

The little cuff was on my wing with the Horton. I can try for a better pic for you with detail.
