Let the 185 mods begin (again)
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

When I researched it a bit earlier this year, I was very surprised to find that no one seemed to hold an STC for installing 26" GY's on a C180/185. After all, the 26" GY's were about the only pre-Bushwheel option for tires bigger than 850's, for which there are at least two STC's (North Sound Aviation & Kenmore).
It's about time that someone developed an STC-- I wonder what the price will be. I recall that someone posted that Kenmore's STC for 850's on a 180/185 costs around $300. FWIW Svenns Aviation's STC's for 26" GY's on a Pacer costs $260.
FYI, I paid $200 earlier this year for the STC from Kenmore. it went up $50 from about 4 years ago.

So Phil, can you remind me again the speed difference between the 26's and the 29's on your 185?

Ivor, 15mph faster (indicated) at 25 squared with the 26's. Same as I experienced with the first set of 26's.
