Looking for Hanger in Tacoma Wa

Hi everyone I’m new to this site I just recently moved to Tacoma Washington. I’m in the military and am looking for a place that has hanger space so I can bring my Cherokee up. Everywhere I look there are massive wait lists and I just want to be able to fly my plane again. If you know an airport near Tacoma that has a hanger please let me know.

Re: Looking for Hanger in Tacoma Wa

The waitlist for County hangars at KTIW is prohibitively long. There may, however, be some privately-owned hangars for rent. I’m there almost every day so will check and report back. Dave

When my daughter was stationed there a few years ago, she scored in Chehalis.

Re: Looking for Hanger in Tacoma Wa

I'm assuming you're at JBLM.
There are several public airports nearby:
Tacoma Narrows, Auburn, Thun Field, all come to mind.
Plus several privately-owned airports & airparks.
You might try to contact the owner of Port Orchard airport 4WA9.

http://airnav.com/airport/4WA9

It's located SE of Bremerton, on Sydney Road, and is a very quiet place.
There are two hangar buildings, maybe totaling 20 hangars,
dunno how many (if any) still have airplanes in them
or how many might be empty & available.
But might be worth looking into.

Re: Looking for Hanger in Tacoma Wa

I know someone with a brand new T hangar at Tacoma Narrows for rent. I'm pretty sure it's on Seattle Craigslist right now. If not then PM me and I'll hook you up

Also, Pierce County recently opened up the waiting list for hangars (it had been closed for a while). A few county owned ones near mine have opened up
