Bill,

Sorry to hear about your engine and that you won't be making JC.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

I plan on flying up tomorrow, going over McClure Pass. I should get there about 10:30. Are you guys using 122.9? I'll be in the little yellow airplane and announce over McClure.

Gary,
Blu may be already there. I haven't been able to reach him today so I suspect he left very early. I don't expect cell phone coverage at Marble.

I'll probably only stay for an hour or so. I don't want to wait until the density altitude gets real high. This will be the highest strip I've done except for Leadville in March. I get off the ground in about 600 ft at Mack (paved) so I don't think I'll have a problem with a 3800 ft grass runway.

Had a great, time went up saterday with my son and fished and hiked. There was some wind but it wasn't to bad and it was right down the runway. All i can say is what a pretty place. We are really lucky that they keep it open to pilots concidering the new owner don't even fly.

Blu, what an awesome picture. Glad you made it. Looks like you were parked where my dad I camped last Sept. Hopefully I'll have my O-470R engine here and on soon so I can spend a few weekends up there his Summer. Heaven on earth in Colorado.

Why do we go through all the hassle of being pilots and aircraft owners... that one picture explains it all. You are a hero in your sons eyes and thanks for sharing that it Blu.
