Re: Maule Extended HD Gear update

So,
I finally got my HD Extended Gear on. I took it out and flew with it. First thing I noticed was it completed changed the looks of the plane on the ground. I made the Maule look like a much bigger airframe. I really liked the fact that I could walk under my wings without ducking. This will be really nice when camping below the wing. I also enjoy the step on the gear. No need for a ladder to fill my mains. It made it a little harder to get in and the forward visibility was reduced, but those are minor issues. (Ones that don't bother me). Taxiing it felt the same as before. But when it came for TO performance there is no comparison. Full power, push the yoke forward till the tail started coming up, then pull back and in the air! I was in air very quickly. (I would post numbers, but I am not that good of a pilot so they wouldn't be exceptional). Flying around I did not feel like I had lost much speed, but I like to cruise at low power settings. Landings took a couple times before I got use to touching the mains as soon as I did. They even felt like they absorbed shock better than the orginal gear. So far I am very happy. Thanks for a great product, Wup!

Awesome kneel! The M6 looks great and I'm glad to hear it performs great. BUT, those 26's are looking pretty small. ;)
