Never flown one, never flown in one. Everybody I know that has on loves it. I believe there is no best. They are all really good. The only bad thing is the insurance cost. Seems to be more for a Maule than a Cessna or any other comperable plane.

They may be swapping usefull load for short field.

Re: Maules

Jeremy, (Maules.com) IS indeed a true expert on the Maules. He will give you GREAT information. He's pretty much flown them all and sold most if not all at one time or another.

If you want accurate Maule information, call Jeremy.

Find one that will haul four adults and three hours fuel.

OTOH will you ever need to haul four adults and three hours of fuel?

Re: Maules

Never had more than me and two other people in my M4 and that was a sight seeing flight around San Diego... Had to put my back seat in to do it too...Took it back out day after the flight... I've loaded mine with 175 pounds of camping gear in the back and flown to Idaho every summer... no problems at all.... Seems to get off the ground about the same loaded or unloaded... but then me and 175 pounds and full fuel still isn't gross..M4 210C... :D

Hey Iceman I thought all M4s had the rounded tail...yours appears squarish in your avatar? (though it is small I could be mistaken?)

Edit: looked at it on a regular screen instead of my phone  may need glasses.

Maulewaco, where on the west coast are you, I may want a ride in a Maule.

Post first, then drink whiskey. Not the other way around.

Might want to mellow it out a bit, man. It's just airplane talk.

Tim, I wanted to stop and see your hobby shop on my last trip north but you were DRIVING around Idaho. Missed you, If I ever get to stop by I'll give you a ride in my Maule. I did get low enough to see your windsock this time. Nice.

No wind sock. I prefer the yellow flag with the snake and my fealing about about my relationship with minor beurocrats printed underneath.

Re: Maules

Do have a Waco also or just the Maule? When I am in Ore 3S8 is the local airport to our place there. My neighbor lets me land at his place so I am only there for fuel though. I didn't know anyone but Zane was there.

yep, famiily business took too much time. and the stiff south wind each time a cold front comes through destroyed the fish sock.
