Montague
Not necessarily information about airstrips or airports, but more general info about a greater area or a route of flight.
Officially one week until the big hunt. I am bringing along a camera to document as much as I can. Honestly, I am a little bit dissapointed about the lack of information and turnout, but I will overcome that and hopefully encourage more people to go on future trips.
If anyone has any last minute inclinations to go, I do have 3 more bunks available at the cabin. My plane and the second plane are both full, but it looks like a great and easy beach to land on with the right equipment. Just let me know if you want to go...

Now that sounds fun. My kid would like to go deer hunting sometime, we spend a long time looking for the few moose out our way and needless to say it is a lot of meat at once. But our plane is sick and we're otherwise committed at present...so maybe if I see an offer like this next year or after...sounds really great. Have a good hunt.

Wishing you good luck and good weather! San Juan is a great beach to land on, I don't have any experience hunting there yet, but walked right up to a doe last time I was there in July. Should be a great trip.

Interesting, most folks I know try to get AWAY from other people when they're hunting. Sounds like you're into party hunting....
Or, maybe you're just looking for the biggest crowd to fight off the bears.
Enjoy your hunt in either case.

On Montague, the bears will be there with the first sound of the shot!! Big ones.

Ya the party is for the bears. I have a major fear factor since the three of us that are going haven't gone in the past because of the reputation of the place. Normally I like to do everything with just one other person.

Just slip a little bacon grease into your buddies backpack while he's at the outhouse.....bears no problem....
The good news is those coastal bears are well fed. Just don't feed them any more, that's the trick.

Just got back. I will post a trip report in the morning when I recover.
I will say sum up the trip in one word: wet.
The rest to follow.
