We made an offer on a house in Bandon, Oregon. Does local county charge property tax on plane and what does it cost. Based on purchase price?

There are a lot of hangers at Medford that house corporate aircraft that are really owned by out of state businesses specifically to get away from the taxes....

You're making a move in the right direction if you're interested in saving on property taxes. As mentioned, I have friends here in CA who own hangars up there solely for that reason.

I don't believe The City of Bandon, Coos County, or the State of Oregon has any such taxes. You should simply be able to register the airplane with the Oregon Department of Aeronautics, if it will be based here; and similarly register as a pilot with them as well. I think $50/year for the bird and $15 for pilot. Bandon has a great little airport.
