Yesterday while I was sitting in my cabin nursing my month long cold/flu/pneumonia thing we spied four Lynx walking across the bottom of the short runway. A father, mother, and two teenagers. I had no time to grab my iPhone and take a picture but it was an awesome sight to behold.
Today I'm sitting at my desk, still nursing the cold/flu/pneumonia thing, but doing some work on my computer as well. I look up and there right in front of me crossing the driveway are the two teenage lynx. Before I can pick up my iPhone one steps into the woods. But the other has a different personality, a curious personality. He (or she) spies the finest bush plane ever, the SQ2, in the hangar (or perhaps it's just a Ford fan) and instead of going into the woods it headed to the hangar. We watched as it walked around and smelled the truck, then went over and checked out the SQ2. All the while my finger hovered over the alarm button on the Ford's key fob just in case it decided to jump up on the truck and then onto the plane. But shortly its curiosity was satisfied and it departed the hangar. What a privilege to have seen these cats two days in a row. We surely hope they make their home somewhere on the property.
