Re: My furthest north

That's awesome.

Is there fuel available? Or did you have to make some special arrangements?

Re: My furthest north

Inuvik has fuel and is less than an hour away. I got to Inuvik from Dawson, 290nm, so no extra fuel required, even though I had a couple jugs with me and could have landed on any of the Dempster strips and topped up. BTW, Inuvik will not fill gas jugs so you'd have to get creative.

Re: My furthest north

Wow! That's way up there, for sure.

I had an opportunity to get a little farther north, to Barrow, AK, in 1972--via C-130. Sure different country than most of us get to see.

Re: My furthest north

Looks like an interesting adventure. Bet it was fulfilling trip.

The family and I made Barrow 2 years ago. The utter isolation and realization at how long it would take to get help was the only thing that dampened how intriguing the landscape was.
