I bet was quite an adventure.
Will try to convince him to go to Ilopango airshow.
Very experienced and good pilot , I flew with him in Alaska, had a great time, 30,000hrs of bush flying in Africa and Alaska, he has lots of very good stories.

Les Zerbe lands here at Spicewood, I'm out golfing and get a call from our airport manager knowing I'd like to meet any big tire pilot, hands her phone to Les and we chat for a few minutes. Then he shows up at Eduardo's airport and a friend snaps some pictures which ends up here where motoadve recognizes them as being his friend Les's plane. How very cool is that!
PatínLoco wrote:Now that's an idea, Rez!! This is what motoadve is talking about. I am the organizer of the largest airshow in Central America called Ilopango Airshow (you can google it). It's always the last weekend in January, with perfect weather: 80s and CAVU every day. We have a lot of airplanes come from all over Central America, Mexico and the United States. The Baja Bush Pilots have come down several times, up to 12 planes once. We have even sent a chaperone aircraft to Brownsville to escort US planes to Ilopango. It's an awesome excuse to warm up in the dead of winter. And, we'll wine and dine you.
I know you were joking, Rezrider, but ..... it's a thought, don't you think??
And soy, Belize is only an hour and a half flight from Ilopango. Come to the show, and I'll take you to Belize!!
