I'm sure most of you know about the 45 Ranch in Southwest Idaho on the Owyhee River.

This new strip, Star Valley Ranch, is the little brother to 45 Ranch.

The landscape is stunning in a bowl lined with cliff and rolling hills.

9 hardworking men drove out 100 4x4 miles from Hwy 95 to get a start on this airstrip.

Strip got rough cut in (Thanks to TJ hard work) 4 ea. tie downs installed, picnic tables, fire ring and an outhouse were completed this weekend. 1250’ long. It’s got some bumps midfield but that will get handled in future work. Once the grass fills in it will be an outstanding destination.

I lived in Star Valley Wyoming a couple of decades ago. What a beautiful area.

Airstrip is rough. Tailwheels with bushwheels only at this time. A couple of good cross dips abeam windsock.

It will get smoothed out over time.
