OK. Good to know Rob. On the airglas website it just shows a STC for 182, but not the models. I'm sure you are right and it is just the early models as it would be the same as the 180/185 then.

Here is the selkirk extended baggage in an omnivision:

Not a huge gain but a great place for your survival pack.

Wow, that's a gorgeous, clean interior!

If I'm guessing right, that's a mid 70's or later 182? Looks like that one already had the factory extended baggage that came as an option on some, that why the extended baggage portion looks smaller. The P model that I flew about 4-5 years back had the factory extended baggage like the one in this picture(the 12" or so behind the baggage door, but not the extended portion behind it.) The baggage area in mine stops just behind the baggage door. According to Selkirk's kit for my year, it will extend my baggage area another 31." I should end up with about the same area as the one in this picture.

Not exactly.....more like it was worn out before I bought it. It has some very major airframe issues that I weren't aware of until after I had it a short while. In short, major airframe issues including a cracked tunnel that with was hidden by the carpet. There were other things as well. Interesting since the previous owner was an IA that traded it in on 210. I guess I know why he traded it in. Total repairs were going to cost 1/2 or better of what the plane cost after talking with a couple of different mechanics. In short, the end result was the company that I bought the plane from ended up purchasing it back, and I went shopping for a different one.

I probably was about my kids age when I first met you! Mason is 8 now and Courtney is 7. Man time flies, and we sure are looking forward to some summer flying fun. We will have to catch up this summer for sure!
