NW Aviation Show Feb 20 & 21, 2016

I don't think it's been posted yet, so I thought I'd remind everyone that the 2016 Northwest Aviation Conference trade show is coming up this weekend Feb 20 & 21 at Puyallup Fairgrounds in Puyallup Washington (south of Seattle). Seminars, vendor booths, etc etc. $5 admission at the door, free parking.
You can drive in, or fly in to Thun Field KPLU and take a free shuttle to the fairgrounds. There's also the big monthly Washington Arms Collectors gun show going on next door, and Spenser's Aircraft at Thun is throwing their annual customer appreciation party Saturday night.

There's a chance that I'll be there. I'm thinking of taking the 210 to Phoenix this week and could catch it on the way home.

RAF usually has a cool display at their booth-- a little campsite, including a (phony) campfire complete with a frying pan full of (plastic) trout.

Any reports?

Apparently I need a geography lesson. Had it confused with Pullman. I didn't go to Phoenix, but wouldn't have come home via Puyallup in any event!

Re: NW Aviation Show Feb 20 & 21, 2016

Went yesterday, show was pretty good. Lots of suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors represented. I wasn't too interested in the latest & greatest stuff, but I did look at electronic horizons (too expensive) and the Free Flight ADS-B out gear (too expensive). But I did see lots of friends. I drove down with a carload of buddies, but the wx was good and apparently lots of people flew in to KPLU and took the shuttle.
I was disappointed to see that the RAF booth didn't include their trademark campsite and fire.

Digging up this old thread... I’m hoping to go to this year’s show looking for discounts on gear. Do vendors, specifically EI, JPI, or Insight offer deals for on-the-spot purchases?

Yes. Typically vendors give good discounts at the big shows, particularly OSH. There will be deals to be found in Puyallup. Show this year is February 24-25.
