I have a factory overhauled motor ready to install in my 182. The old alternator mount used one of the case through bolts as an attach point and I am really not liking the idea of using that same attach point on the new motor. Is anybody aware of a legal, big continental mount that does not use one of the through bolts? Thanks!

After 2 stock alternator mounts cracked, we went to the one piece engine/alternator mount.

Do you have a part number? That looks way better than the alternatives.

#646748. We had to trim down alternator bushings to fit. Solid.
Looks like Texas Air Salvage has got one.

Ordered the part. Ended up getting it new and it was pricey but it looks like a much better design than what I had. I now know it was actually covered under SK182-52F. Thanks for the help.

FWIW, for future reference to anybody else looking at this issue, SE79-58, supplement 1 was, as far as I can tell, the most recent revision. It references SK182-55F which spells out a bunch of minor parts but also identifies the combined motor mount/alternator bracket as P/N 643935. I got that part from Yingling for $674.

I am lucky that my 180K has the one piece mount as shown by skyward. I found something similar at BAS parts (Beegles) and it must take a different mount leg.
