Oil Filter Delete

Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?

I'm pretty sure that I've used a 520 filter on my Jeep 4.0L. Fram PH16 rings a bell...


I would forgive a jeep guy for suggesting Fram.... but what's the Wix part #? haha

Not sure about Wix, but motorcraft is an FL-1A

I went with the challenger reusable oil filter, just felt it was a better product than the typical paper disposable filters and once I got it (order in May, arrived in October) I will never be beholden to the supply chain


Not completely out of the supply chain issues; the element is supposed to be replaced every 5 years. I’ve used one on my P-Ponk for over 5 years. One additional plus is I don’t have to pull the top cowl on my C 180B to change the filter; I can do it through the access door.
