The Cessna 170 is 70 years old this year and VAA has approved Group Parking.

EDIT: This is not associated with any TYPE CLUB and you do not need to be a TYPE CLUB member to attend.

However parking may be limited so please sign up as instructed below. As we reach the planned limit, I will beg for more!

OSH 2018 is July 23-29, 2018 so please plan to arrive by Sunday night July 22 to assure parking. If you will arrive later than that we will try to save the spot but might not be able.

Year and Type (example: 53 170B)
Name

Email
Cell number
City and State
Arrival date (if after July 22)

Email above info to Dave dot Finamore at Gmail dot com (this is not me but he agreed to help with the sign ups) so your personal info is not on line

It's a shame that airplanes can't easily fly from one airport to another...

There's rumor of a cookout / party among the 170's one evening.

I'd love to go, but it's 2500 miles, which in my slow 170 would be 50 hours of flying there and back and a couple of grand in fuel.

That's why you take a commercial flight, rent a car, and show up to mooch off the cooler of the guys who are based more conveniently.

They have a seaplane base at Oshkosh too.

I'm only 1,000 miles away. The 170 isn't ready so we're schlepping it in the Porsche this year.
