Otter charter in Ketchikan

Anyone have suggestions for an Otter charter in Ketchikan? Our family will be up there this summer on an Alaska cruise, and my father is looking to charter one for an hour or two sightseeing flight. He would prefer to do it outside of the canned cruise company deals. There will probably be 10-12 of us, no baggage. Six of the pax will be kids.
I guess the first question should be: Can Otter carry that much, or are we looking at a Twin Otter?
Thanks in advance.

Misty Fjords air is who i would try. They are a medallion shield operator. Thats a pretty high safety bar to meet.
You can haul 10 people in an otter but might not get that manny if yall are big people. My recommendation is based solely on the medallion shield.
Island air express runs caravans but you can only take 9. They are a fine operation i am told. Pretty sure there are some pilots from them parts on here.

Taquan has a Caravan as well as Otters, Beavers etc. Kevin Roof is the guy I'd talk to there.

If I were doing it with those numbers, I'd opt for 2 or 3 206s or 185s. I have no idea what the $$$$ comparison would be, but I think it would be a more relevant experience for everyone. Any seaplane is cool, but smaller is better, to me.

There's a reason the pilots of the smaller planes get better tips from tourists. Feels more personal. An Otter is an awesome machine, but riding in the back of one gets to be like sitting on a bus.
