PA-18 3rd seat mod

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

PA-18 3rd seat mod

My dad used to put me in the jumpseat in the straight-tail C-150 when I was aged 7-11, I loved every minute of it. Maybe it has to do with the kid?

IMO there's no airplane safer than a seaplane, until you flip it on the water.

Re: PA-18 3rd seat mod

Sheesh, now you guys got me paranoid about float flying. How common is it to flip the things? Are there some statistics that show # of flips per # of landings? Risk is in the eyes of the beholder. I've had my son riding on the back of my motorcycle since he was 3 years old. He thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. There are neighbors of mine who want to turn me in to Child Services for having him on there.
