You're gonna keep your airplane out on a ramp somewhere? I find it kinda hard to believe that someone would invest all that time, money and heart into building an airplane, and then not get a rented or owned hangar to keep it in. Alaska is probably the most aviation-oriented state in the country, and I find it very surprising that a lot if not most people just keep their airplanes tied down outside there. To me, a hangar is not only a good place to keep your airplane in out of the weather (and away from light-fingered passers-by), but a place to work on the plane, keep all your airplane-related shit, keep excess "other stuff", and just hang out.

No, there are android apps that support the iLevil but they don't display any engine instruments.

A hangar would be nice to put the airplane/boat/rafts/snowmobiles in but to fit all that I'd have to build a new one. That's not going to happen for a while and I'm ok with that. My main concern is theft; someone drained the tanks on my Luscombe a few years back.

OK, good to know whee.

As for me, a hangar is not super close to the top if the list. Being able to park my plane on my front lawn is way farther up. I will build a hanger eventually, but right now I'm more focused on making my airplane my own. I think you're on the right track whee.
