It's been interesting to watch, as usual.
I'm curious to see a flight test video soon.

what a bang up finish to the entire build. Can't wait to see his write-up on the flight, he's the current rock star of aviation, and deservedly so.Haters gotta hate !Johntoo wrote:Gee, I wonder if he'll get this one off the ground in a 37kt crosswind like he did the last one! Flying Ass Clowns.

I'm not sure the approaches used are readily translatable to a maintainable production-ready aircraft that most people will be comfortable and able to fly safely. That isn't the point. It will be interesting instead to see how the combined approaches differentiate the Scrappy from simpler aircraft, and the imprint they will leave on other design efforts by the E-AB community in the future just as it has inspired Mr. Patey.
I'll never figure out why Mr. Patey draws so much criticism from people who probably can't even change their own oil, frankly. Building a business around a passion successfully is something that only a few people will achieve in their lifetimes. And pulling together a number of both novel and well-travelled features into an interesting near-scratch build is something that has nothing to do with a convenient and prominent example ripe for criticism. It's a flat out admirable effort and accomplishment. The speed of building, integration, and testing has been nothing short of unprecedented.
