Re: Photo thread: Out the window

Do these count? This is what happens when some Nutjob decides to light our backcountry on fire. Then we spend days in 40 knot winds trying to contain it. Out my window.

You know, it's kind of nice to see some plain old PHOTOS, videos get the lions share of attention nowadays it seems. Still shots leave more to the imagination.

Re: Photo thread: Out the window

Oh boy!! I hope this thread grows longer than "Where'd you fly today"

I have LOTS of pix out the window of my plane, but here's a few from what I think was the best commercial ride I ever had. Been across that track many times but never lucked out to actually see the ground before this. Hard to believe we were so comfy, eating a little steak with a nice glass of wine, seven or eight miles from certain death. It was all taken for granted by the rest of the passengers who just wanted me to lower my window shade so they could get on with watching the movie.

Later that day, I saw this view of Mt. St. Helens, almost directly under the airplane.

Re: Photo thread: Out the window

Nice photos.

The fish eye is a Nikon .21x for a camera I used to have....till it fell out the door of my truck when my kid was getting in. I ran over it as I pulled away.

I'd put our local fall colors up against any in this great nation. Slight threadcreep but here are some more taken by my wife on the same weekend as those above...some from the plane (out the window), some from the ground...
